End of Summer

The final day of summer has arrived, which also means that starting tomorrow morning, the alarms will ring earlier once again, as school and the 2026/27 academic year begin, which our Foundation is also launching with new energy and fresh plans.

Students return to their desks enriched with many experiences and insights. Some are just starting their higher education studies, others face the unknown as new high school students, and for many young pupils, this year marks the beginning of another exciting chapter in primary school.

In our camps organized over the summer, we once again offered opportunities for growth, community building, and discovering the diversity of Hungary and the world. In language and thematic camps, participants were able to deepen their knowledge in a playful, experience-based format—whether in financial literacy, natural sciences, history, or creative thinking. Children expanded their horizons not only in a domestic environment but also abroad, with the cooperation of experienced specialists and educators.

We trust that the summer moments shared together and the knowledge acquired there will accompany the young people throughout the entire academic year, contributing to them facing new challenges with courage, openness, and motivation.

Our international language camps were not missed this year either: the most outstanding language competition participants were able to further develop their skills in England, Germany, and Croatia. As part of our priority cooperation, the most talented students from Covasna and Harghita counties were also able to spend unforgettable days in Transylvania, in Csíksomlyó.

However, our foreign programs did not focus solely on language learning—we offered several groups the opportunity to experience firsthand the historical and cultural heritage of ethnic Hungarians beyond the borders in iconic locations across Transylvania, Upper Hungary, Vojvodina, and Burgenland.

Domestically, we also offered numerous exciting destinations: Veszprém, Tokaj, Kőszeg, Balatonszemes, and Bárdudvarnok became spaces for community experiences and discovery. Local thematic camps contributed to the development of participants’ knowledge and skills. Our ever-popular sports camp was held once again in Mohács this year.

Sarlóspuszta played a central role in our summer programs again this year: it hosted the financial and drama camp, as well as the now traditional All-Arts Camp, which attracted a record number of participants this time as well. The “all-arts” camp was preceded by two section camps: the writing section created in Szentes, while our nature photography team spent a week in Baks again this year.

After an experience-filled summer period, we look forward to a busy and meaningful autumn. The S10 Academy returns this year with an exciting selection of courses. Our goal remains to provide young university students with practical knowledge that forms a solid foundation for the first steps of their professional journey. Alongside the Academy, the S10 Dinner Evenings will also continue, where participants can meet inspiring speakers and engage with current, thought-provoking topics—creating opportunities for dialogue, connection, and the exchange of ideas.

Scientific work is not present only in higher education: supported by Dr. Katalin Karikó, our research projects continue again this year. We trust that the joint work performed here and the openness to innovation will lead to further academic achievements—whether in competitions or in laying the foundations for long-term scientific careers.

We wish every student, mentor, and partner a motivating academic year rich in accomplishments—we look forward with joy to working together, to future meetings, and to new experiences!
