This week, the sports camp announced during the school year by the Children’s Parliament kicked off in Mohács. Participants were selected for the camp through an application process. Our beneficiaries represent all of our Community Houses. Throughout the week, the main sport focus is beach volleyball, where those who want to play sports get an insight into the basics. Furthermore, the days are complemented by various sports and recreational sports, such as football, basketball, table tennis, badminton, and chess.
“First, we arrived at the Mohács Community House, where after everyone had gathered, the camp was officially opened. Afterwards, we were taken to the accommodation by bus. After settling into our rooms, we warmed up with a little volleyball. Later, we were randomly divided into five teams, which were then split into two further parts based on our skill level, creating group A and group B. After that, we played in these groups with the junior mentors. In the evening, we were given some free time, during which we could use the pool, play football, volleyball, chess, and try out many other sports. By the end of the day, I think almost everyone was pleasantly exhausted, but we had a really great time.”
