On July 13th, I officially received my Bachelor’s degree after three years of hard and persistent work as a student at ELTE Faculty of Humanities.
When I first started learning Chinese in ninth grade, I didn’t yet know exactly where I was headed or what I would become. It didn’t take too much time for me to fall in love with the language so deeply that I applied to the Chinese specialization of the Eastern Languages and Cultures program as my first choice for university admission, where I was accepted back in 2023.
This year, my undergraduate journey came to an end, and I earned my degree in humanities, but this is far from the end of the road; I now have many more and much more concrete plans waiting to be realized.
I am endlessly grateful to the Csányi Foundation – to Dr. Sándor Csányi and Erika Csányi, Miklós bácsi, the Pécs 1 group, my mentor Luca, the S10, the creative writing section, and to so many of my friends at Csányi who supported me over the past years, because without them, it couldn’t have happened. Both personally and professionally, I am where I am today because I wasn’t alone; there were people standing by my side, for which I owe everyone my heartfelt thanks.
