Presenting the Zsolnay Quarter
In the afternoon (7th March) we showed Valerie, our German volunteer, around one of the cultural landmarks of Pecs.
We walked to the Zsolnay quarter where we visited the Bobita puppet theatre first where Valerie marvelled at the unique clock and the building. After buying the tickets we entered the planetarium. The show was excellent and we could learn why the days of the week were named as they are today. The names have astonomical origins. As it was in Hungarian Dóra translated the exciting presentation. Before going back to the community house we took some pictues at the distorting mirrors. Furtunately it didn’t rain so we walked around the quarter at a leisurely pace talking about Germany and higher education.
We had a great time. Thank you!
