Another Milestone – I Have Graduated!

“My life has reached an important moment: I have graduated. I successfully completed my bachelor’s degree in sociology at the ELTE Faculty of Social Sciences, and on July 3rd, I was able to receive my diploma at the Lágymányosi Campus.

I have left behind three years full of excitement and challenges. However, the learning does not stop here; I will continue my studies in a master’s program.

I am grateful to the Foundation – to Dr. Sándor Csányi and to Dr. Erika Csányi – for allowing me to grow up in a community where I was always supported and could courageously ask for help whenever I ran into difficulties. I never felt alone; I always knew they stood behind me. The Foundation played a major role in my personality development and worldview.

I strive to give back a little of the immense love and support I received over the 11 years, so that the current generation can experience in a similar way what it is like to be part of the ‘csányis’ – community.

During my university years, they provided my housing, which was one of the greatest supports and, at the same time, the most defining experience for me. I found dear friends close to my heart, whom it was always a joy to come home to. I gathered many memories during this time, because the greatest treasure is the community.

Since I was little, I received language and IT development classes, through which I graduated high school with very beautiful results, holding a language certificate and an ECDL certificate in my hand. I could begin my studies at the university with confidence, which was a great relief.

I also owe gratitude to Dr. Miklós Radoszáv, the operational director of the Foundation, for encouraging me and believing in me all along. He considers the fate of every young person a matter of his heart, and they can turn to him for help at any time.

I would also like to thank my mentor for always being by my side, and for the fact that I could count on them at any time. I did not have to despair when life threw obstacles in my way and things did not turn out the way I imagined. I am grateful that they taught me to be persevering and to fight for my goals.

An era has closed, but with it, a new one begins. And my ‘csányis’ life continues.”
