The high school beneficiaries in Szentes are starting their seventh school year with the Foundation. As usual, during the start-of-year parents’ meeting, we discussed the most important information for the upcoming period with the beneficiaries and their parents. Among the tasks ahead, we first discussed earning the next-level language certificates and the necessary preparation for them, completing further modules following the successful acquisition of the ICDL Start certificate, as well as the Foundation’s Language Contest. In our plans for the summer, we primarily highlighted the camps. Based on our experiences from this year’s trip to Transylvania, we are certain that the 2027 camp in Upper Hungary will also enrich the team with many memorable experiences. An important question from several participants was whether there would be an opportunity to participate in the younger students’ camps as junior mentors. For those getting their driver’s license, we drew attention to the financial support provided by our “Ready, Set, Drive” grant, though other currently active grant opportunities were also discussed. Following Foundation matters, school topics were brought up. The young people will soon have to prepare for their final high school examinations and higher education, so we turned the conversation to the—never repeatedly enough stressed—importance of studying and requesting help in time for subjects that may cause difficulties. The young people and their parents present are proud to enjoy the support of the Csányi Foundation and, alongside undertaking realistic goals, reaffirmed this by signing their support agreements. Although this school year will not be easy either, it will not be boring: busy days, exciting projects, as well as familiar and new Foundation experiences await us.
