On May 23, 2026, we continued our MTA 200 project work with the Jászság Group 4. We listened to presentations by our peers about three more academics from the Jászság region, which we also analyzed together. After we finished, we took a wreath to the commemorative plaque of Count Albert Apponyi and remembered him, as this year marks the 180th anniversary of his birth. The large landowner count was a board member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the president of the St. Stephen Academy from 1921 to 1933, and the representative of the city of Jászberény with a golden mandate. Most people know his name because he was the leader of the Hungarian delegation at the 1920 Paris Peace Conference. Returning to our Community House, everyone from the group chose two academics and collected the locations of their birth, death, and the main stages of their lives, then we entered these digitally into the Google Maps database, thus obtaining a vivid map of where they lived and worked. We also plotted the received data on printed maps of Hungary and the region. As a result of our joint work, we obtained maps that no one else had created before. In the future, we would like to visit the MTA building in Budapest, and we also plan to commemorate more academics. At the end of the day, we discussed the year-end information and the upcoming camps.
