Sándor Kovács
I am Sándor Kovács, born in 1982 in a county seat in the Southern Great Plain. After many years, living in various regions, and gaining experience, I live in this region once again, near Szentes. I am married, and my wife and I have one child.
I obtained my degree at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Miskolc, and from 2005 I worked as a museologist. I am involved in archaeology and history—alongside my mentoring work as well. These qualifications and my fields of interest also define my path at the foundation: I am happy to pass on my knowledge about my areas of expertise, organize related programs, and involve young people who are curious about this even in museum research. Alongside introducing local cultural values, environmental education, developing environmental awareness in young people, and directing their attention to our natural treasures are important to me.
I consider it important that, with our help, the young people entrusted to us bring out the best in themselves, develop a healthy self-image, and that we prepare them for a conscious and full life. I believe that by being able to help our young people from childhood until the start of their adult lives, we mentors can also receive special gifts: seeing them grow up, supporting them in solving their problems, enriching the development of their knowledge and spirit, and sharing in both their joy and pain—these are special and responsible tasks all at once.
In my work, the greatest joy comes when the young people entrusted to me open up with the same honesty with which I approach them. Currently, my 10th-grade high school group and I are already a well-established team: everyone is aware of their own values and how they can help others with them, our relationship is based on mutual trust, and we can rely on each other. This is how we move forward together on our Guidance Path…
