I became a Chemical Mechanical Engineer

14 years. That is how much time has passed since I became a member of the Foundation. Just writing it down gives quite an incredible feeling, and now, with two degrees in my pocket, the contrast is even stronger.

I completed my bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of BME, and became an Energy Engineer more than two years ago. Since the pharmaceutical and chemical industries were closer to my heart, I envisioned my master’s program in a different direction. For this reason, I started the Master’s Program in Chemical Mechanical Engineering, also at the BME Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. During the degree program, I had the opportunity through the Erasmus+ program to spend a semester in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, where I was enriched with countless experiences. All the hard work paid off, and I managed to complete my master’s program at an exceptionally high standard. This is highlighted by the fact that I ultimately became a Chemical Mechanical Engineer with a diploma of honor with distinction.

Still during my bachelor’s studies, I started working as an intern at an engineering design firm, where I was welcomed by a great atmosphere and high professional standards. It is no wonder that I still work here to this day, now full-time. Our company typically deals with the design of chemical and pharmaceutical raw material production technologies; our clients include Richter Gedeon and EGIS, among others.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Foundation for the support, trust, and opportunities provided over the past 14 years. It was a huge help for me to be able to reach the attainment of my master’s degree with the support of the Foundation, and at the same time embark on forging my own life.

Now that an important chapter comes to a close in my life with this, I look back with gratitude on the years spent here and everything I received from the Foundation. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this community, and I wish from the bottom of my heart that many young people will receive similar opportunities in the future as well.
