“The children arrived early at the Community House on Monday morning on the first day of the camp. After the morning camp opening and a group photo, we were already heading to the first program of our health camp, the “Bulikonyha” (Party Kitchen). Here, we primarily aimed to raise awareness of conscious eating for the new generation based on an international menu. We were divided into three groups and set to work preparing our first own thematic lunch. Every team was very surprised and satisfied with the result. We thank the Bulikonyha team for the high-quality program! Later, in the Szeged House, we discussed a few more programs of the camp, and we held an interactive session and an exchange of views related to a healthy lifestyle.
On our second day, specialists from the Buda Health Center held a session for us on anatomical knowledge, during which we could also master various exercises. We can make great use of these in the future to keep our bodies fit. We aided our daily health-preserving exercise in the afternoon with a sightseeing walk, and after this, we were able to gain a little insight into the world of organized club and competitive sports.
In the middle of the week, we got to know water sports. We spent our entire day at the Aquapolis in Szeged. It was clear here that everyone had learned to swim well last year, and we were even able to try out the larger slides.
On Thursday, at the SZVSE sports field, we introduced the younger ones to the various branches of athletics. They could try javelin throw, long jump, sprint, hurdles, and we also prepared relay races for them.
To close the camp, on Friday, based on what they had learned during the week, the boys prepared several courses of our health-conscious lunch as a surprise, and we reviewed what we had learned about a healthy lifestyle. Then, we concluded our eventful week with a Kahoot test.
In the future, everyone can apply what they learned this week in their daily lives!”
