On Saturday, the members of the Mohács 1 group gathered for a family day at the Szőlőhegy Leisure Center in Mohács. Thanks to the sunny weather, everything was in place for a joyful, meaningful day together.
The children were especially happy to meet, as this was the first time they had seen each other since the summer camps. They shared stories with great enthusiasm about starting the school year, their new school experiences, and their dormitory experiences. It was wonderful to see how attentively they listened to each other’s stories and how quickly they reconnected.
The university students were also delighted to join the program. They told the younger ones about university life, recent events, and their own experiences. Their presence was particularly valuable, as their example and stories can serve as a source of motivation for children preparing for higher education.
The youngest ones were not bored either. There were plenty of opportunities for play for the younger siblings, which they took full advantage of. They had such a great time that one of them even burst into tears when it was time to head home – wanting nothing more than to stay longer.
For the parents, the family day was likewise an enjoyable and useful way to spend time. They really liked the venue, and while the children were playing, they also had the opportunity to talk. They shared their experiences, impressions, and the upcoming challenges regarding further education with one another.
It was wonderful to be together again, to talk, laugh, and share recent events with each other. We were able to spend a truly joyful, loving, and meaningful community day together.
