On the occasion of the traditional Children’s Day trip, last Saturday all three groups traveled to Budapest to spend a meaningful and experience-rich day together.
The first stop of our journey was the Citadel, where we viewed a special interactive exhibition. The exhibition provided an experience that was both spectacular and thought-provoking for the children and accompanying adults alike. With the help of the modern presentation, we were able to gain insight into important events of Hungarian history, while learning about the courage and perseverance of our ancestors who fought for freedom.
The exhibition recalled the determination of past heroes, demonstrated the power of community solidarity, and showed the hardships faced by those who served the cause of independence. The history and symbols of Gellért Hill presented the significance of the ideal of freedom in an especially vivid way, and helped us understand that achieving common goals requires courage, perseverance, and unity.
During the visit, many photographs were taken in front of the wonderful panorama opening onto the capital. Children and adults alike were delighted to capture their shared experiences. Everyone was mesmerized by the imposing sight of the Liberty Statue, which rises majestically above the city and, as one of Budapest’s most famous symbols, provided a special experience for the participants of the trip.
In the second half of the day, we visited the exhibition of the Light Art Museum, which was also a great success among the children. The special light installations, spectacular visual elements, and interactive artworks fascinated everyone. The meeting of modern technology and art provided a unique experience for the participants, who curiously explored the exciting spaces of the exhibition. The magical world of colors, lights, and moving creations left a lasting memory in every member of the group.
The trip not only offered entertaining programs but also enriched the participants with valuable knowledge and shared experiences. The children returned home full of experiences, with numerous new insights and lots of photographs. This special day in Budapest made this year’s Children’s Day memorable in a worthy manner.
