The recent period has brought a great deal of success to the Foundation’s talents, both in terms of school and competition results. The youth did not lose their momentum even in the final sprint of the spring semester, resulting in countless brilliant report cards and commendations. So let us take a look at a few from the list of those who worked the hardest for this. We heartily congratulate them on their achievements and wish them many more successful years in their studies!
Dominik Sándor, Kaposvár 3
Although Dominik is only in the sixth grade, his musical talent already showed itself years ago. The boy started playing the tenor horn five years ago, and then switched instruments this year to continue on the tuba. Within the span of just one school year, he progressed to such a level that, following several smaller domestic competitions, on 6 June in the Czech Republic, he participated in the XV. International Interpretative Competition for Wind Instruments Brno. In the strong field of his age group, he was able to return home with a Gold Qualification.
In addition, Dominik was chosen as Student of the Year at his school, and he also received a recognition from the Mayor of the City of Kaposvár for his successful performance in the Brno competition. Here are a few thoughts from Dominik about the event:
“When I listened to the other contestants, I knew I wouldn’t have an easy job, as they played very well too. I tried to give it my all on stage, and in the end, I achieved first place. I felt very good at the event and I am looking forward to the next competitions.”
Boglárka Szalai, Nagybajom 2
During her studies, Bogi could boast extremely impressive results, and this was no different at the conclusion of her high school years either. She closed her graduation exam period with excellent results, for which she received the Munkácsy Study Prize and a commendation.
“The recent period was mentally very difficult for me, but despite everything, I tried to do my best and maintain the same level in my studies. I am very grateful to my family, my teachers, my mentor, and the Foundation for standing by me and supporting me in everything. Thanks to them, I was able to achieve all my goals in the 2025/26 school year, so I closed my high school years with an advanced English language exam, my studies with an excellent report card, and my graduation exams with an excellent graduation certificate. I will always look back with affection on my high school years spent at Munkácsy.”
Milán Vajda, Nagybajom 2
Milán recently became the assistant of the drama section at the All-Arts Camps, but it has been clear for years that theater is not just a hobby for him. Although he has only just graduated from high school, he runs drama sessions for the youth like a professional, takes on directing roles, acts, and has tried his hand in many other areas of life, while also performing well in school. As the President of his high school’s Student Council, he helped move the community forward with his exemplary behavior, diligence, and social responsibility; his peers have him to thank for organizing and executing countless programs. With his multifaceted personality, resourcefulness, and creativity, Milán has become a true role model for the younger ones—and perhaps not only for them.
“We have matured enough to move forward. I have left one of the most exciting periods of my life behind me, as after 5 years, life suddenly opened a grand gate before me, through which I could step as a high school graduate. For me, the exam period was a great adventure, as I looked at it as just another task to be solved, with only one opportunity to do so. While the preparation time flew by, I carved my outlines onto paper, and in the meantime, I boarded the nostalgia train. And as if my heart were not already full enough, I received unexpected phone calls. In 2026, I was awarded the most prestigious honor of the Klebelsberg High School Dormitory of Kaposvár, the Klebelsberg Prize. At the school year-end ceremony, I received the Humanist Prize of the Táncsics Mihály High School, which is awarded to the student who, through their human conduct and schoolwork in the given period, promotes the spread of humanitarian ideals, better understanding between groups of people, and the dismantling of prejudices. The list concludes with a certificate of praise from the Mayor of the City of Kaposvár with County Rights, which we received for our collaborative work with my youngest peers in the 9th preparatory class. Under the title ‘Harmful Curved Truth: ÁGI’ (Ártó Görbe Igazság: ÁGI), I was able to direct and choreograph the very first dance of my Kaptárszínház project, with which we won the grand prize at the national AJTP Art Festival in Pécs. I am very proud of my peers, myself, and I am grateful to my family, teachers, friends, and the Foundation for all of their support.”
