“The family day of the Csányi Foundation’s Mohács Group 3 was once again a great opportunity for us to spend a beautiful day together in a casual, pleasant atmosphere. As a parent, I was delighted to see that almost everyone participated in the event: children, parents, grandparents, and siblings unwound and talked together.
Among the programs, everyone could find what they liked most – there was a trampoline, foosball, football, and a lot of laughter. The delicious food and the friendly atmosphere further contributed to everyone having a good time. It was great to see how much these occasions bring the community together.
During the casual conversations, more serious topics were also brought up, such as the question of further education. Parents could share their experiences, ideas, and opinions with each other, while the mentors supported the families with their helpful attitude and advice. It was a special joy to experience the attention and kindness with which our mentor turned toward everyone.
We are grateful for these community experiences because they not only provide relaxation but also strengthen our sense of belonging.” (Viola Kosztyu, parent)
“The family day of the Csányi Foundation was special to me because, for once, the focus was not on school or tasks, but on being together and having fun. Already upon arrival, it was great to see how many people came, and the relaxed atmosphere quickly formed, where everyone was talking to someone, laughing, or just playing.
The day passed quickly because something was always happening. Many of us played football and foosball, and the braver ones tried out the trampoline as well. What I liked best was that I didn’t just spend time with my close friends, but we also talked a lot and fooled around together with the older ones. At times like this, we get to know each other much better than on an average weekday.
Meanwhile, of course, eating could not be missed either; everything was very delicious, and it was nice to sit down and talk together. The mentors paid attention to us the whole time, helped us, and you could really feel that it was important to them that everyone had a good time.
I think programs like this are good because they bring children, parents, and mentors closer to each other as well. For one day, everyone can put aside their everyday chores and simply be together. This is why this family day became a very fond memory too.” (Lili Fölker)
