Swimming camp in Nagybajom

On the second week of the summer holiday the swimming camp started (23 June) for group 3 of Nagybajom.

The children can learn swimming in beautiful surroundings. At first, Kovács László instructor assessed the children’s swimming ability and the coming lessons will be conducted based on the results. During the day, the children also could ride horses. The children paid attention to Mr Laci’s every word. We hope that all the week will be spent in such a good mood.

Day two of our swimming camp
Unfortunately, the weather was not kind to us but it did not spoil the good mood of the children. Today we had to skip horseback riding but in return they could spend the whole day in the pool. They learned proper breathing and feet movements and with the help of swimming boards they could swim some rounds in the pool. Some were afraid of the deep water for the first time, but day by day this fear will gradually evaporate. One child will have a short presentation about the health benefits of swimming for tomorrow.

Third day of our local swimming camp
Unfortunately, the third day started with rain in Nagybajom. We started the day with a discussion held by Dorina and Zalán. We discussed the importance of swimming, and its positive health effects. By the end of the discussion the children hardly could wait to get into the pool. While the girls were practicing in the deep water with Mr Laci, the boys were playing games in the shallow water. Later the two groups swapped places. The children were trying to do back swimming. At the end of the day, after the usual congratulation session we went back to the Community House to have dinner.

Day four
Finally, the summer came back today, which made the children happy to come to the swimming camp. We started the day we chatting, conducted by Virág. As we had the opportunity to go horseback riding while in the camp, Virág made a short presentation about the history of horseback riding and its health effects. Everyone was brave to go into the pool and practice what they have learnt during the last few days. At the end of the lesson the game session arrived, which was treasure diving today.
The children are sad to have only one more day from the camp because tomorrow we are closing our summer swimming camp.

Closing day of the swimming camp
We started the last day with a quick info meeting to discuss the next camp to Sarlóspuszta. Then the group was split in two, the boys went horseback riding, while the girls started swimming. Practice was the centre of the day breast strokes, back strokes and freestyle. At the end of the day, the bravest ones could swim the pool longways, who received great congrats from Mr Laci. The last part of the swimming camp was games, which we enjoyed very much and said farewell to our swimming camp.
Thanks for Mr Laci’s great patience and care during this week.
