Approaching the end of the academic year, we held our advocacy forum, which is a kind of academic year summary on one hand, and a brainstorming session for the upcoming period on the other. Practically over and over again, the prominent role and responsibility of community building comes up. The team held a self-examination regarding where the Kaposvár groups stand in this: where we currently stand with parental responsibility, the willingness to act, or the lack thereof. What is needed to (further) strengthen the relationship of trust between the mentor and the parents, which is important so that we can help and raise our children alongside the same set of values. The future vision of the young people was also discussed at the forum; some believe that direction could be shown to the youth more courageously, while there was an opinion that the definite ideas of the young people “only” need to be supported. It was voiced as a proposal that the community houses could deal with a centrally specified topic every year, and we would exchange experiences on the given topic at the annual summarizing-analytical meeting. In connection with the sessions, it was a common platform that there are certain things that, alongside modernity, must by no means be abandoned: text comprehension will always be needed, knowledge of foreign languages is indispensable, and progress cannot be made without functioning as a community and a team. Regarding the future vision, realistic goals must be formulated together by parent, child, and mentor.
