A visit to the theater in Kaposvár

On March 18, 2026, members of Group 3 from Kaposvár, accompanied by one parent, attended a performance of the youth play Rumini on Mirror Island Tükör-szigeten at the Csiky Gergely Theater in Kaposvár. You can read more about the play here: Rumini Tükör-szigeten – Csiky Gergely Színház Kaposvár

“Thanks to the Csányi Foundation, we went to the theater on March 18 to see the play Rumini on Mirror Island. We gathered at the community center in Kaposvár at 12:30 p.m., and since we had to go in so early, I missed my last three classes. From there, we walked to the theater, where a few people were already waiting for us. Inside the theater, we checked our coats and received our tickets, which indicated where we were seated. Kevin and I sat in Box 6, and since I had never sat in a box before, I was really looking forward to seeing what it was like. Before the play even started, they told us that taking photos or videos was prohibited and that we had to turn off our phones. After that, there was a short musical interlude/introduction, and then the show everyone had been eagerly awaiting finally began. To summarize the play, it was about Rumini and the other mice landing on an island because they had run out of food and water. While the crew gathered food and carried water to the ship, Rumini and Rozi explored the area. But unfortunately, Rozi was bitten by a mercury hydra, and because of this, she slowly began to turn into a mirror. She would have turned into a mirror if Rumini hadn’t been there to give her the antidote, which saved her, and then they threw a huge feast on the ship’s deck. I really liked the program, and not just because we got to leave school early, but also because my friends were there, and the show was really good.”
