Today, we had a big challenge, the Portfolio Defense, for which we prepared a lot. Our mentor, Dorina Szerző, gave the group the initial guidance, so we started this task that required a lot of attention more smoothly. We found and collected many, many pictures and experiences, which were a pleasure to recall. Still, we had to put together a presentation that reflected the past six years here at the Foundation. We presented our completed presentations in front of Dr. Miklós Radoszáv, our operational director, two curators, and several parents and helpers. We were very nervous before the presentations, we even rehearsed them several times. We encouraged and sometimes calmed each other, and the presence of our parents also relieved the tension. In addition to the presentations, we also prepared a Table of Honor, which featured our certificates and various achievements. We prepared a special exhibition for our guests, where we presented our favorite experiences in pictures and associated them with music typical of the atmosphere of the given camp. Overall, I can say that we can claim an extremely exciting and eventful milestone, for which we can be very grateful to the support of our mentor and those active in the Csányi Foundation. Today we had an exciting and special day at the Csányi Foundation: my group and I held a portfolio defense in front of the curators. The central theme of our presentation was how we imagine our future, what results we have achieved so far in the Csányi program and at school, and we also told how important the community of our small group is to us. Everyone was very excited about the performance, as we had prepared a lot for it and wanted to show how much we had developed in the recent period. Our presentations went well, everyone spoke confidently and proudly shared their own path, plans and successes. The curators listened to us with great attention and praised everyone at the end – it was a great feeling to receive recognition for our work. This day was not only about introducing ourselves, but also about strengthening ourselves: together, supporting each other, we are capable of great things. (Regina Kállai, Jászság Group 4)
Today, this year’s portfolio defense was held in Jászberény. We had to present six years of work, which not only brought back many memories, but also required a lot of preparation. My group and I prepared for it for long weeks, helping and supporting each other. Although there was excitement and sometimes panic, we can still say that we had a full, full day behind us. In the end, everything went well, and by the end of the day I really felt that everything had come together. It was good to see how much we had achieved together. Overall, this experience will remain a lasting memory for me, and it even reinforced the fact that it is worth working hard for our goals. (Hanna Kovács, Jászság Group 4)
