In Poroszló

On 2018 Jun 11th the photographers of Group 2 of Szeged went to Eger to collect and pack Gyula Molnár Ph.D.’s photos that were exhibited. Some photos of the members of our group were also exhibited there, thanks to the Professor. As we finished with packing we left for Poroszló and the Lake Tisza Ecocentre.

Lake Tisza is an artificially made lake, created with the help of the weir built on River Tisza in 1973. However, soon did nature take control over the manmade environment, and today next to waterlilies and arrowheads many bird species can be seen, such as black-crowned night herons, grey herons, and great cormorants. Besides watching these birds closely during a boat tour, the Ecocentre offers other programs as well; one is, for instance, is a visit to the Giant Aquarium where we can meet Hungary’s most common fish species, like catfish, northern pike, or one of the biggest fish on the country, the beluga.
As our group roamed through the Ecocentre we headed home tiredly but richer with experiences.
