Two days in Szombathely

On 28 February 2017 I took part in the XV. Sistrum Music Competitions for drummers in Szombathely. The participants came from several parts of Hungary in different age groups. We had to play two pieces. I played the Badinerie movement of J. S. Bach’s h-moll suit on marimba and the Mista movement of Seigfried Fink’s snare suit on snare. I got a silver classification, which was very good from the strict jury. It was good to see, and listen to the others performances. I learned a lot from them. The day before, I had a very useful lesson with Magdolna Szarvas, who will be my drum teacher if I’ll go to the music trade school of Szombathely. She gave me a lot of useful advices. We had time to visit the city, it’s very beautiful. On the way back home we visited the church of Ják.
