The beneficiaries of the Pécs 3 and Pécs 1 groups can look back on an event-filled and meaningful weekend, as language learning was not the only focal point of this foreign language project weekend. Participants were able to develop their communication skills in small-group sessions organized by language and proficiency level, while also acquiring a wealth of new knowledge.
The priority theme for this school year is environmental protection and environmental awareness, so the foreign language classes were not solely about developing language competencies either. The young people addressed issues of sustainability, environmental protection, and responsible everyday choices in a foreign language, which simultaneously helped expand their vocabulary and broaden their horizons.
Throughout the weekend, learning took place in an experiential manner: participants were able to delve deeply into the topic through active tasks, group discussions, and practical examples. Thanks to the interactive sessions, their language use became more confident, while they also gained valuable insights into the importance of environmental responsibility.
The project weekend marks another important milestone on the path toward helping beneficiaries successfully pass additional language exams in the spring. The experience gained so far and the enthusiasm of the participants provide an encouraging foundation for making the set goals a reality. Once again, the weekend proved that language learning is most effective when connected to real experiences, collective reflection, and topical social issues.
