We sent winter on its merry way

Masked revelers flooded the downtown of Kaposvár on February 3rd, Saturday afternoon, as a carnival parade was organized in the county seat of Somogy. Thinking that we shouldn’t miss out on the fun, Kaposvár’s Group 1 also set out to join the carnival frenzy. Before the group headed out, the children prepared carnival decorations at the community center. After lunch, some put on fake mustaches, while others donned animal masks, and we set off for the carnival in Kaposvár.

Cheerful people, folk dancers, and costumed individuals strolled everywhere, creating a fantastic atmosphere. We watched the parade, enjoyed the lively performance in the square, and danced around the fire where a straw puppet symbolizing winter was burned.    Zsuzsa Fenyő, Mentor, Kaposvár 1
