On Monday afternoon, we were able to visit the exhibition presenting the life of Dr. Katalin Karikó as part of a guided tour by Dr. Ilona Újszászi. The guided tour began with a video summarizing the work of Katalin Karikó. It was an interesting video because we could gain an insight into the scientist’s life.
After the video, we could listen to her biography and see her awards in pictures, and some of them were brought by Aunt Ilona and we could see them. Some of the exhibition materials were placed in display cases, some of which revealed the life story of Dr. Katalin Karikó. István Ábri, who was a classmate of Katalin Karikó in elementary school, was also present at the guided tour, so he was able to tell us many personal experiences, thanks to their closer acquaintance.
In my opinion, it was interesting. It is amazing how much Dr. Katalin Karikó achieved during her life. Katalin Karikó can be a real motivation for us, as she never gave up.
