Busó Festival of Mohács (10. 02. 2018.)

Today was a very special day because an old dream of the NB3 group came true as we got to the Busó Festival of Mohács. We arrived to Mohács forenoon where the mentors Annamária Éles, Gergő Koszta and the children of the Foundaton’s Mohács division were waiting. Our journey lead us through the forum to the city hall. The busós were tricky, elfish people, some photos were taken too. Erika Bodor Kovácsné told us the history of Mohács and the Busó Carneval, and showed us the ceremonial room of the city hall and the huge gobelin which tells the story of the busó carneval and which was made by István Bán textile artist. After that we walked down to the bank of the Danube and to the Busó museum. We also had a look into the secrets of the Busó mask creation. We thank for the experience and kind surprises for the children.

„I came home with so good memories, I will remember them, even if many-many years have passed, with happiness.” Virág Pap NB3

„We got along with the local folks, everybody was friendly and helpful. They were funny, I also danced with some of them.”  Márton Gelencsér NB3

„We went to a Busó mask exhibition where we saw a lot of interesting masks.” Dániel Károlyi NB3
