The First Advent Family Day in Group 3 of Szeged
In the morning of 7th December snow covered the yard of the Community House in Szeged and icy wind waited the passers-by. But, around 3 pm the weather become more friendly and sunshine welcomed the family members of group 3 in Szeged who gathered together for the first Advent family day of the group.
Many parents, grandparents, older and younger brothers and sisters came together and the home made cakes and cookies just lifted the family spirit in the Community House. While we were waiting for the guests, some did their maths homework, some drew pictures on the white board, some played in the garden, and some took the chance to play a little on the PCs.
When everyone was together, the afternoon was opened by a short Advent show, which was learned and practiced with the help of our drama teacher. After the show, the parents could see a slideshow about the programmes that the members of group 3 took part in during the second half of 2013. It was followed by a quick discussion about the programmes that await the students in 2014. Later the families got their Christmas packaged from the Csányi Foundation. Everyone was happy about it and all its content has the best place to go. The day went on with light chatting among the parents and the kids were playing in the house. Getting close to end of the day, we sorted the cookies, so everyone could take a little piece home. The parents cleaned downstairs of the house, washed the glasses as they feel it part of their lives since their kids have so many good memories with the Foundation.
The first Advent family evening of group 3 was nothing more than excellent, and we hope we will have many more like this in the future.
