As the next stop of the Parents’ Academy, the beneficiaries of the SZ1 group and the parents spent our weekend professional day together with the trainers of the OTP Fáy Foundation. As a session building upon the first occasion, they captured the attention of the families with renewed content and methods. Thanks to the successful sessions, together with the families and the Foundation’s staff, we have already started planning a third occasion, in which the sessions so far will be supplemented with newer content, and the previous ones will be put into joint practical application.
“Building on the first session, the children’s group examined how a family can manage its money consciously and according to plan. We touched upon concepts such as the financial plan, the household log, and inflation. During a robotic exercise, the students had the opportunity to try planning and financial decision-making in action. With the parents, we took turns reviewing the challenges that everyday life holds and looked for solutions to these. We brainstormed stress management techniques and also examined internal resources that can provide support on more difficult days.”
