Volunteers assisting the implementation of the Guidance Program at an outstanding level

Katalin Fülöpné Paksi has been a volunteer at the Csányi Foundation’s Jászság Community House since 2005. From the founding of the Foundation up to the present day, she has been selflessly supporting the work of mentors and the lives of families with fast and reliable administration. Katalin Fülöpné Paksi (who worked as the branch manager of the Jászberény OTP Bank branch until 2017 and is currently an active pensioner) also provides practical advice to numerous families on financial matters and loan management (Kiss family). In addition, she collects clothing donations, enhances the cozy atmosphere of our Family Days with her craft workshops (making ornaments, pastries, and gingerbread), and is an interviewee on the Foundation’s online radio show titled Csalaphang.

The Jász Community House could count on her active, selfless, and exemplary help and support at all times. Here are a few highlights of her activities:

  • In 2005, at the launch of the very first group of the Foundation’s first Community House, she supported the work by organizing the “Know the Jászság” program series, facilitating company visits after establishing contact with the leaders of local and surrounding municipalities and companies. This is how the Jász 1 group visited, among others, the Jászapáti Dairy Factory.

  • In 2006, 2008, and 2010, she gave presentations to the members and parents of the youngest groups, introducing the OTP Junior Card and its usage, through which the children receive their study scholarships to this day.

  • In 2011 and 2015, she organized Family Days for the new groups at the Ugrin Horse Ranch.

  • From 2011, she gave lectures to parents at the Parents’ Academy. Topics included: how to manage family finances consciously, how to budget a modest family income, and how to raise children to manage their pocket money properly.

  • In 2012, she organized a Cooking School for the Jász groups, which the children thoroughly enjoyed, as they prepared every single stage of the food in the Training Kitchen with a little assistance, and then ate the prepared meals afterward.

  • In the summer of 2012, at the XI Folk Food Cooking Competition, the team from the OTP branch together with the members of the Jászság 3 group received a special award. In the same year, the Community House also organized an Asian Day with Katalin’s help, where she brought the special dishes.

  • In 2016, our volunteer organized career orientation company visits at companies in Jászberény for the youth of the Jász 3 group facing career choices.

  • In September 2017, when the Juhász siblings were hospitalized, she visited them numerous times and collected second-hand clothes for them. She also acted supportively regarding their hospital placement, helping the pair of siblings receive hospital care until they could be placed with foster families.
