Let’s play
On Friday, I spent the day at the Jászberény Community House, where I got to know the youngest group. Many are interested in music, and several are learning to play instruments, so we had a little audition where they could play their pieces. After a short game of foosball, I played one of my own piano pieces for the group and gave a presentation on applied composition. I showed my own more artistic short film music, an intro film made for a video game, and some of my standalone pieces. We discussed how these were made, then I talked about my trip to New York and showed pictures. It was a great experience to visit Jászberény and this wonderful team, and if I’m not mistaken, we will meet many of them at the Multi-Arts Camp.
Nadin Varga, Mohács Group 2
On May 24, 2024, we were visited by Varga Nadin, who is studying applied composition at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest. She shared her career and achievements so far. Two to three years ago, she won a competition to compose music for a video game’s introductory video, which allowed her to spend a week in New York. She not only learned to play the piano but also a bit of guitar and violin. We had been eagerly anticipating this day because several members of Jászság Group 2 play some kind of instrument. This day was very inspiring for us. With proper diligence, we can achieve our dreams and desires.
