School Year Begins in Kaposvár

Alongside the school year, the freshmen of Kaposvár Group 3 also began their academic year within the Foundation. We held the first session on Saturday, which was attended by a few university students as well. During the morning, the children learned about the developmental classes and programs awaiting them in the first semester. Since most of them had just started upper elementary school, they faced many new experiences during their first week of classes, and they enthusiastically shared their new adventures with one another. Additionally, the freshmen were introduced to the upcoming project, which excited them so much that some began brainstorming in small groups about the tasks ahead.

After the session, we harvested the most beautiful and ripest peppers and tomatoes from the Community House’s garden and enjoyed them together. While playing outside, the more observant children discovered little wonders in the yard, such as small fig saplings that had likely sprouted from seeds dropped by birds. We agreed to replant them in a more suitable spot and, in a few years, hopefully enjoy their fruits.

For some, the day didn’t end after the session. In the afternoon, two group members performed at the “Miénk a város” Festival in Kaposvár as students of the Liszt Ferenc Music School. Kevin Horváth performed a piano solo, while Dominik Sándor played the French horn as a member of the Brass Band.
