Parents’ Academy
Parents’ Academy in Szeged 25th October 2013
This day I was asked to conduct a group session for parents, which topic was the students’ future studies and study guidance orientation.
Obviously, from the nature of psychology, many correlations arose that are in connection with child upbringing.
During the session I was eager to make a friendly, tension-free atmosphere with the parents – based on the needs of laymen’s curiosity – in such way that we do not lose the track of professionalism. I made the session interactive instead of one-way giver and receiver rigid situation. According to my presuppositions, many personal topics came along during the session, which we did not have the possibility to discuss full in depth as the mainstream of the session was convergent. The inquiring and cooperative atmosphere bases the foundations of optimism for similar sessions in the future. All in all, I would describe the session positive and forethoughtful which I hope will contribute to build even stronger relationship amongst parents and the Foundation.
