Parents’ Academy events in Szentes
In May, our community center was filled with adults on two occasions as two of our regular partners, the OTP Fáy András Foundation and the Bonafarm Group, organized informative sessions and presentations for both children and adults.
On May 3rd, the staff of the OTP Fáy András Foundation conducted a financial literacy course, covering topics such as the value of money, estimating household expenses, and the current theme of summer job opportunities for students. Through interactive and engaging activities, participants effortlessly absorbed the knowledge needed to effectively manage the challenges of these two areas in their daily lives. – Sándor Kovács, Mentor, Szentes 1.
“In the afternoon, we all arrived at the community center around half past four to participate in the Financial Literacy Course organized by the OTP Fáy András Foundation as part of the Parents’ Academy. We were a bit nervous but very curious about what kind of program awaited us. First, everyone wrote down the three most important things in their lives, and then we assessed the value of each. There was no shortage of playful tasks and good spirits, and at the end of the session, we discussed the topic that interested us the most, which was student employment. Sadly, we had to bid farewell to the trainers at the end.” – Andrea Hajdúné Balogh and Kitti Hajdú, Szentes 1 group.
On May 10th, representatives from the Bonafarm Group visited the Szentes Community Center. As part of the Parents’ Academy event, an interactive one-and-a-half-hour session was organized, where we learned about the comprehensive activities of the company group, including its number of employees, the composition of its various companies, and the sectors it operates in. During the program, young people received feedback on their interests and potential career paths through a self-assessment questionnaire, while parents discussed supportive parental attitudes during the career decision-making period. – Márta Őzéné Törőcsik, Mentor, Szentes 2 group.
