Parents’ Academy in Pécs
The next session of the Parents’ Academy at the Pécs Community House has arrived, with participants from all three Pécs-based groups attending. For our group, Pécs 3, the first semester of this academic year focuses on choosing a high school and further education. However, today’s topics were relevant to all of us.
In the first part of a two-part lecture series, Dr. habil. György Révész, honorary university professor (our very own “Gyuri”), gave an insightful and easy-to-understand presentation on motivation, specifically on how we can motivate our children. We left with practical, applicable advice!
The Pécs-Baranya Chamber of Commerce and Industry considers career guidance a key task, encouraging career choices that align with economic needs. The chamber’s representative, László Zoltán Piacsek, head of the Human Resources Development Project Office, gave us a presentation supporting career orientation and further education. He provided a detailed overview of Baranya County’s educational institutions, outlined the available options, and offered valuable tips regarding the application process.
