Monsters and Symbols
On Saturday, November 2, the creative writing section gathered for a one-day collaborative workshop. In the morning, we explored the literary movement of symbolism. Through selected poems by symbolist authors, we studied their techniques and methods, and then took up the pen ourselves. Alongside the poets, we also drew inspiration from symbolist painting to enhance our creations.
In the afternoon, we continued our work, delving into the questions of monster theory, exploring what monsters might actually symbolize. Finally, we created our own monsters and shared their origin stories.
