Festive gathering in Kaposvár
The oral round of the foundation’s language competition took place on December 12 with Kaposvár Group 2. This exam was especially significant as our group has set the goal of obtaining an intermediate language certificate this academic year. Despite the fact that the competition was held in the “safe” environment of our Community House, exam nerves were present. Based on the results, we know we’ll need to focus even more and be more confident when the time comes for the official language exam.
After the exam, we welcomed visitors. For the third time, former foundation members came to join us with their families. This year, we aimed to bring joy to three little ones through shared playtime and gift packages handed out by Santa. The children expressed their gratitude with songs, thanking Santa for the treats, which we also got to enjoy as a reward for our successful exam results.
But it wasn’t just Santa who came bearing gifts! Our Community House was adorned with a new artwork, a gift from a former foundation member. The piece, created by Alexandra Piszker, was originally a project for her university studies. After the presentation of the artwork, we had the opportunity to ask Alexandra about her experiences at the Kaposvár University’s art program and her years there. It was an excellent chance to learn more, and everyone enjoyed the occasion immensely.
At the end of the day, we didn’t leave empty-handed either. We went home with generous gift packages. As in every year, the Foundation contributed many delicious treats to brighten our holiday season. A heartfelt thank you, and on behalf of ourselves and our peers, we wish a Merry Christmas to the members, employees, and contributors of the Csányi Foundation Board of Trustees.
