Ria-Ria-Hungária!
The Hungarian national team played its first football European Cup Qualifier at Puskás Aréna against Bulgaria, on the coldest day of March. The 27th. Thanks to the Foundation, several Community Houses were lucky enough to watch the match, which we had been looking forward to. There was amazing support, which the Hungarian players thanked all the way with their great game. The match was decided in the first half, which no one expected. Perhaps not even Marco Rossi, who said in his statement that the national team had never produced such a good first half. Great team harmony and actions were. We were also very dangerous from spot kicks, our first goal – after a corner – Vécsei hit the net. The second goal was a fantastic free kick by Dominik Szoboszlai, which has been mentioned ever since, but maybe even by the Bulgarians. The third was scored by Ádám Martin at the end of a great attack in the 39th minute. There were still chances, but at halftime the teams went to the locker room with a score of 3:0. Both teams made a lot of changes in the second half, but the result did not change. Hungary-Bulgaria 3:0. So after the whistle, there was a big celebration, the fans erupted in a huge ovation, and as a fitting end to the match, as usual, we sang the National Anthem again. It was a great pleasure to support the others together and it was a good experience to see such a great Hungarian national team in live. We hope that we will have many such experiences, and we thank the Foundation for the opportunity.
