Szabi is a member of Szeged Group 2, studying agricultural engineering at the University of Szeged.

In 2020 and in 2021 he was awarded a research grant from the New National Excellence Programme for his research on the development of self-sustaining aquaponic systems. He could also present his research at the Wellmann International Scientific Conference in 2021.

After winning first place in the Animal Science and Feeding section of the December 2022 TDK, his research was awarded a special prize at the 36th OTDK.

Szabi is also an excellent nature photographer:
His photos won 1st and 3rd place in the 2021 Darvadozás – Photo Race, and his photo was also selected for the 2021 edition of Hungary 365.
