My name is Péter Mikics, I was born in Gyula on 1 March 1981.

I spent my childhood in Biharugra, in Békés County, and went to elementary school there.

After that I went to Rózsa Ferenc Secondary Grammar School in Békéscsaba, where I specialised in biology. In 2005 I graduated from the Juhász Gyula Teacher Training College of the University of Debrecen, as a Biology-Environmental Protection teacher.

After graduation I moved back to my hometown, where I was in charge of the local after-school care group, and I organised and led environment-themed summer camps called “Our home, the Kis-Sárrét region”. I moved back to Szeged in 2008, where I organize several environmental protection and nature conservation-themed play schools with NGOs.

I joined the team of the Csányi Foundation in the spring of 2010, as the mentor of the 2nd Szeged group.
