The Foundation’s chess team participated in a chess tournament organised on the occasion of the Dubai World Expo. Out of 296 teams from 53 countries of the world, our team was among the 12 best, which is also a great achievement for us, because we were the only ones representing Hungary out of the Hungarian 20 teams who entered the championship. Our students came 11th in a field of very strong professional chess schools.

The team leader is IM Gellért Karácsonyi, from Jászberény Group 2, who finished as the second best player in the tournament.
