Finance and Drama Camp in Sarlóspuszta

Finance and Drama Camp in Sarlóspuszta

We opened this summer with the Jászberény 2, Mohács 2 and Pécs 1 groups, with the Financial Literacy and Drama Camp in Sarlóspuszta. After last year’s freshers’ camp, the children were looking forward to spending a week with their friends again this year. In addition to the programmes, the youngsters will also have the chance to test their skills and creativity in a team competition. I think we are in for an exciting week.”

“We had no time to be bored during the rest of the week, with drama sessions and more exciting programmes: we had a lecture by hunter Miklós Pintér, who encouraged us to love and protect nature. The morning spent with the OTP Fáy Foundation was very useful. We were given advice on saving money and how to manage a bank account. We had to risk our imaginary money and we also built a tower with dough, glue and marshmallows, the winner being the one who built the tallest tower. International Children’s Emergency Service volunteer Zsófia Böjte taught us how to be confident online – how to use the internet safely and in a fun way – but also warned us about the dangers. The Dogs Without Borders Foundation gave a demonstration with search dogs, including Labradors, Malinois, Poodles and Retrievers. These animals have already rescued people in the earthquake-hit Hatay province in Turkey. Alongside this, artist Judit Prihoda gave an amazing art show. Of course, the Puszta Olympics, board game casino and cinema night were not to be missed. It was great to be together, thank you.” Antónia Polgár, Pécs Group 1
