Eternal Derby and The City of the Future
On Saturday in Szeged, we laid the foundations for our City of the Future project, based on the Maker’s Red Box educational materials. Mentees from Groups 1 and 2 began designing their vision of the city of tomorrow. They explored 3D printing technologies, focusing on filament-based printing, as well as micro:bit controls and laser cutting. The main themes were integrated into a storyline, and responsibilities were assigned for different areas.
We discussed numerous innovative ideas, with 5th graders and 11th graders approaching priorities from different perspectives. This diversity enriched the project, making the discussions more complex and engaging.
The day concluded with us attending the OTP Bank-PICK Szeged vs. Veszprém HC handball derby. The home team dominated the second half, securing a win that brought joy to us and the other fans. While we’ve attended several matches in the arena, this was the most memorable one yet. With two more home games left this year, we’re certain to be there cheering again!
