Open Day at the Nagybajom Community House

Open Day at the Nagybajom Community House

Our foundation is offering a scholarship opportunity for talented, disadvantaged fourth-grade students from primary schools in Nagybajom and the surrounding area for this academic year. Mentors personally visited school leadership and the relevant class teachers to provide detailed information about the Foundation’s Guidance Program, with a special focus on the scholarship criteria and the Selection process.

Interested participants had the chance to get a glimpse into the daily life of our Community House on Saturday, February 1st, when we hosted an open day for children applying for the Selection, their parents, and interested teachers. During the program, we shared detailed information about the Guidance Program and the Selection process. Following this, Laura Sándor, a member of Nagybajom Group 1, shared her personal experiences and how the Foundation has supported her over the past years. Zsombor Kislaki, a student from Nagybajom Group 2, gave an engaging presentation on why it is great to be a “Csányi student.”

Throughout the day, visitors could participate in playful English, logic, and drama activities and try out creative workshops such as bracelet-making or experiential painting. Our volunteers and junior mentors were present all day, assisting participants and gladly answering any questions.
