More than just language skills
On March 23, the 3rd group from Szeged also completed the oral round of the language competition. The young titans faced three topics in both German and English: communication forms, internet usage, and employment. They had to demonstrate with independent answers that they possess the language proficiency required. Following this, they blindly chose an image from a pile and spontaneously had to describe the captured moment in connection with a given theme. We encountered very thorough preparation, and we heard responses using beautiful linguistic expressions, with fluent and rich vocabulary. I am glad that the team took the competition seriously. I thank Gábor Berta for the high-quality examination and the professional questions that perfectly connected with the youth.
Panna Pápai spent her morning creating quality food for us. I thank her for her contribution and the energy she put into preparing the food.
Next, we listened to Márkó Laurinyecz’s program, who is running for the presidency in the children’s parliament election. We provided feedback to Márkó on the content and communication style.
We can look back on a beautiful, long, and eventful day, in which, besides knowledge, the most important human values also emerged: mutual preparation, cheering for each other, supporting others, relieving anxiety through games, paying attention to their peers, and curiosity. I am grateful for the day we spent together.
