Madrid situation report
I have seen many new things since September. I got to visit Barcelona. My childhood dream also came into reality, I got to see my favourite football club Chelsea play in the Champions League. I feel very lucky to be here. My stay is especially enjoyable thanks to my host family. They have treated me like family since day one. They are originally from Cuba, and even friendlier than the local Spanish. I had many new experiences during my first trimester that I can later use in my private and professional life. In the university I gained insight into the Spanish higher education system. I can only say positive things about it. I have great teachers with international experience. That background makes the lessons even more authentic about the world of international trade. The classes are different too. In my experience there is a lot more emphasis on teamwork. I had at least one group project in all of my classes. I feel this will be very useful later in life because it is very important to work well with other people. Madrid is a wonderful city with many sport and cultural events. I love living here, and although I am coming home for Christmas when I come back in January I will give my all in the new trimester at UEM.
