Cage Fight in Jászberény
“On Tuesday afternoon (28.11.00), the J1 and J4 groups had a special experience at the Community Centre. We attended a classroom theatre performance by the group In Sight, Cage Fight. The actors acted out a situation that we may encounter at school, we have peers who have been in similar situations. There were some very poignant moments, it felt very real and we really felt the characters’ situations. They were provoking each other into trouble, it was strange to watch it, how quickly the calm turned into a fight, how quickly the nothing turned into a fight. We put together what kind of bullying we see at school and what could be the cause of it? What makes us suddenly get upset, can we stop or do we keep on spinning? When we get into a conflict, how can we resolve it? How can we avoid violence? The presentation was very informative and thought-provoking.” Group 1, Jászság
“Today we had a very exciting programme. We were guided through an interactive classroom presentation on non-violent communication. The actors brought several games, which were all exciting. We had a lot to learn and experience during these 2 hours. We all enjoyed it very much, thank you for the opportunity.” Domján Leticia Jászság Group 4
“Today we were able to participate in an interactive presentation in our Community Centre. The main topic was conflict management. In my opinion, this topic is quite topical, due to our age, we are involved in it almost every day. I am very glad that I was able to participate in this programme and to reflect on what I saw from my point of view. Everyone really enjoyed it. We hope to have more of these presentations.” Zsolt Kovács-Group 4 from Jászság
