A Christmas filled with surprise
While Advent is mainly about keeping quiet and waiting for the arrival of Jesus, there are also lots of concerts and artistic performances in the town. But last Sunday (13th of December) what we were looking forward to was none other than our first Christmas celebration with the Foundation in the Community Centre in Kaposvár.
We were amazed by a surprise concert by a band made up by parents, brothers and sisters, elder students and Sasa herself for this occasion. They sang Christmas carols we have never heard before, but there were some we already knew so everybody could sing together. Then came a tale about the arrival of Christmas, which parents and children equally liked. After that we had an exciting and interesting quiz, thanks to which we also learnt some new things. Boredom had no place during the different handicraft activities, either. But the cherry ont he cake was undoubtedly when we got our Christmas ‘presents’: from the delicacies and the ingredients we got to make different Christmas biscuits at home, to the yearbook of the past year, the tabletop calendar, and, last but not least, the poster of the Foundation’s football team.
We are really thankful for all the (not only materially, but also emotionally and socially) valuable gifts we got. We’re proud and joyful we have had such a wonderful afternoon together. I also would like to take the opportunity to wish all members of the Foundation, Mr and Mrs Csányi, and Advisory Board merry Christmas and a verry happy New Year.
