A native English speaker in Kaposvár
This week, David Holmes, the native English teacher working for the Foundation has had a two-day stay in Kaposvár (5th-6th November) to have a chat with the youngest pupils as well as those who have been learning the language for quite a long time, some of them having almost mastered it.
Since the Community House has recently moved into a bigger and better building, David’s visit began with a ’guided tour’ of the place. Then he talked one-on-one to all the students, discussing a handful of topics like school, family life, their stance towards music and sports, Hungarian delicacies and even the newest computer science inventions were mentioned. According to David, our students did quite well during the ’interviews’; he explicitly praised their English skills. V. Sárközi Angéla, mentor
