“The Heart Needs an Idyll”
“One who is only half a person can never be whole again! Everything they have is halved: half-joy, half-sorrow.”
“Our Hungarian project this year is based on Sándor Kovács, a play by Eszter Vági and Zoltán Rajkai. The story is set in a not-too-distant future marked by artificial intelligence, a fast-paced world, and suppressed emotions. All things that await us. A future that, in many ways, is already here. Sándor Kovács is just one example among many—a story that reflects our lives, at times forebodingly. This performance is a perfect call to allow room for our emotions and not to become too complacent in this world, especially when it comes to our own inner world. Let us never regret being different, and let us dare to speak about our problems. We will always find at least one helping hand.
The story of Sándor Kovács is an excellent thought-provoking performance, raising numerous social and personal questions. I believe it’s a great starting point for our project. We will be able to explore many directions with this theme, and I am very much looking forward to the group discussions.
‘The heart needs an idyll.’
Thank you for the experience!”
