How to be even better? -project
“We show each other in the group the things we like to do, the things we think we are good at. Together we look for strengths and weaknesses in ourselves and each other, and brainstorm and talk about how we can be better at those too. For example, Krisztián is the group’s fisherman, János is an outstanding sportsman, some are interested in Japanese language and culture, others in the digital world. Now János and I have shown what we enjoy doing, what we spend a lot of time on. For János’s taekwon-do demonstration, I dressed up and he demonstrated the punches and kicks on me, explaining the rules as he went. He has been doing the sport for over 8 years and spends a lot of his time in the gym. He is most proud of the fact that he has been Hungarian champion three times. His dream is to stand on the podium at the European Championships, and on the highest step of the podium. I used to play a lot of Lego, now my favourite games are the Rubik’s games, invented by Ernő Rubik. My dad gave me my first Rubik’s cube for my birthday once, and since then I’ve tried my hand at puzzles. Puzzling the Rubik’s pyramid is very difficult, but there is a good app for these games that helps you move on when you get stuck. We tried it out with our peer-mentor Anna Horváth. Then we learned English to get better at that too.”
