Local project day in Siklós
I have participated on 29th August with Pécs 2 group on their program as a guide. We have spent this day to relax, because we learnt during this week for the ECDL exam. First of all, we have visited the castle of Siklós and its surroundings and we had a historical trip in the past. Our mentor, András refreshed the memories about the backgrounds of Siklós, the stylistic characteristics of the castle and the long stories of the noble families who owned the place (staring from the Soklyósi family) from the beginnings to the present days. During the guidance we went through all the exhibitions and rooms of the castle. The most interesting rooms were the Middle-Age, 1st and 2nd World War, Croatian and Serbian exhibitions. The most exciting places were the castle jail, the torture chamber and the noble prison cells. When we left the exhibitions, we met with a smith, who talked about this profession and after his talk everybody received a small luck horseshoe with our own names. After a delicious lunch, finally we arrived at the spa of Siklós, which was a relief in the hot last days of the summer! I think this day was full of memories and everybody enjoyed it.
