# Further Education Information Session in Jászberény

Continuing education is an important milestone in the life of every eighth-grader, and the members of the Jászberény 2 group have now reached this point. Choosing the right secondary school is no easy task, as many factors must be weighed when making the decision: interests, plans for further study, the school’s course offerings, and the kind of community in which the student wishes to continue their studies.

The career choices of the Csányi Foundation’s eighth-grade supported students were assisted by a further education information session, **where older supported students of the Foundation presented the secondary schools in Jászberény.**

What made the meeting particularly special was the inclusion of personal experiences. The younger students did not merely hear general information about the various institutions and training opportunities, but learned about the schools from a perspective that is especially close to them: through the personal experiences of their peers. In this way, the criteria for choosing a school became more tangible, and everyday secondary school life became easier for them to imagine.

The briefing also provided a great opportunity for the eighth-graders to ask questions, compare different options, and think about their next steps based on their own interests and plans. Personal accounts can help young people preparing for further education make their decisions with greater confidence. The further education information session was thus not only about schools and training programs, but also about passing on experiences, looking out for one another, and demonstrating that within the Csányi Foundation community, young people can learn from each other as well.

Mentors, Jászberény
